FAQs
Why use reinforced concrete instead of steel?
Reinforced concrete can endure exposure to sunlight, seawater, high levels of moisture, and abrasion. Steel is also capable of withstanding these factors, however, it is susceptible to corrosion.
Can I add reinforcement to existing reinforced concrete structures?
It is advisable not to do so as reinforcement is usually added during the concrete pouring process. Therefore, reinforcing existing structures can be challenging and require specialised techniques.
